Machine Embroidery Club
Embroidery Club is for anyone who has
purchased a Deco 340 or a Bernina Machine with
an Embroidery Module from either our Takapuna or Mt Eden
store.
The Machine Embroidery Club meets
on the third Saturday of each month. At each meeting we work on an
embroidery project which is designed to use the machine to it's
greatest potential. Examples include designs to be used on quilts,
table runners, tee shirts and more. A requirements list is sent out
before
the meeting and for those with relevant software we can also send you
the design beforehand to save time during the class. The class covers
the stitching out process and assistance in incorporating the design
into your own scheme.
These classes are a great deal of
fun and it's a great opportunity to share knowledge on machine
embroidery and ask questions. Further
separate classes will be offered for more advanced digitizing
techniques. These will require you to have the relevant software loaded
on a laptop.
This club takes up quite a bit of
room so we hold it at our Dominion Road where we have plenty of space.
You will need to bring your sewing
machine, embroidery unit and all your accessories. If you're an Aurora
owner then you will also need to bring a laptop with the software
preloaded.
During club meetings you are
entitled to 10% off Bernina accessories (excluding software, machines
and servicing). To qualify, items must be paid for during the meeting.
Annual fee - $200 - Discounted to
$160 if paid by 17 March 2012. Project kit materials are not included
in the fee. Bookings are
essential, so please let
us know if you are coming.
For class dates, please check the
Class Schedule which is revised regularly.
